Episode 103: Community / Virtual Medicine

Episode 103: Community / Virtual Medicine

Today, Ali and Asif debate the merits of the cult-classic television show ‘Community’ (1:31). They start off by discussing how it was created by Dan Harmon after ‘Rick and Morty’ and then discuss Harmon’s writing style. Then then discuss the sexual misconduct allegations against Dan Harmon and his eventual apology to Megan Ganz, one of the women he harassed. Then Asif discusses how he finds the show clever, but not especially funny…and Ali disagrees. Arguments ensue.

Then they discuss the pros and cons of virtual medicine (34:18). Asif starts by discussing the various types of virtual medicine and how its use has increased since the Covid-19 pandemic. He discusses the benefits of virtual medicine and uses ‘telestroke’ as an example. Ali discusses his negative experiences with virtual medicine and Asif talks about some of the concerns the medical community has with virtual medicine.
